Potential tour routes
There are other options for tours and it is possible to arrange a bespoke tour to suit clients’ needs and interests from a selection of potential places of interest including those listed below. The length of the tour will be by arrangement.
Templecowey – tranquil, spiritual coastal site with 3 holy wells and remains of a church, located near Ballyquintin Point.
Ballyquintin Point – southern tip of the Ards Peninsula, National Trust Farm and Nature Reserve; World War 2 lookout post; wildflowers; wildlife; cobble beach.
Kirkistown Castle, Cloughey – Cloughey has an award-winning beach.
Exploris Aquarium, Portaferry – entrance fee payable.
Echlinville Distillery near Kircubbin – entrance fee payable.
Greyabbey house and gardens – entrance fee payable.
Mount Stewart house and gardens – entrance fee payable.
Eden Pottery near Millisle – includes gift shop, café and workshop.
Derry churches (remains of) – said to be the oldest in Ireland, located between Portaferry and Cloughey.
Smugglers’ caves – locations must be kept secret!
Shipwreck sites – along the coast.
